Pinot Noir

About the wine
The grapes are grown on the two “Bündte” and “Rüfiser” parcels that have a combined area of 5,400 square meters and are owned by VOLG Weinkellereien. The mash is fermented at a controlled temperature for 10 days. The acidity of the fermenting grape juice is reduced in stainless steel tanks. Then, the wine is aged for 10 months in French barrels; one-third is aged in new wooden barrels.

Dense ruby red. Aromas of eucalyptus, cloves, pepper, blackberries, dried plums.
Spicy, powerful initial uptake. Broad and dense mid-palate with well-integrated tannins.
Elegant body. Clear blackberry and toast notes. Lasting finish.

Food pairings
Venison medallion in porcini sauce, lamb filet, stroganoff, roast beef.

Serving temperature
16 - 18° C

Optimal drinking window, storage period
