Completer – a rare gem
This ancient indigenous white grape variety is only planted on about 5 hectares of land, mainly in Bündner Herrschaft. The soil in this region is generally very rich in minerals, which are well assimilated by the Completer. According to ancient accounts, the grape variety was first mentioned in 926 in a document written by the monks of Chur. This strong wine was once a popular refreshment during Lent.
Color: Intense golden yellow
Nose: The multifaceted bouquet is reminiscent of almond brittle, ripe walnuts, Williams pears, mango and caramel. The barrels used for aging add a subtle note.
Palate: The aromas have a delicate acidity on the palate. Fine roasted aromas complement the fruity aromas of this full-bodied wine.
Finish: The long, creamy finish lingers on the tongue for a long time.
Serving temperature: 9° C, since the aromas unfold best if the temperature is not too cold
Storage: Drink now or within about 10 years
Food pairing: Roasted veal medallions with morel cream sauce, hearty mushroom dishes
