Cave de Noé SA, Perroy
Aigle is nesled in the heart of Chablais at the foot of the Vaud Alps. The village stretches along the eastern edge of the lower Rhône Valley, along the fan-shaped accumulation of sediment which was deposited over time by the river Grand Eau as it exited the Rhône Valley.
About the wine
The most-planted grape variety in West Switzerland is the Chasselas. Soil derived from glacial moraines and the microclimate of the Föhn wind give the Chasselas from this region its decidedly distinguished traits.
After the harvest, the grapes are gently pressed. Then they are fermented in temperature-controlled conditions and aged in traditional stainless steel tanks.
Pale golden yellow. A silky soft texture envelops the aromas of white flowers, green apple and citrus fruits. Dense and flattering on the palate. Remarkable harmony, purity and intensity fuse with elegance and a finish characterized by the wine’s typical flint flavor.
Freshwater fish, salmon terrine, poultry dishes, hard cheeses such as Gruyère and Sbrinz, cheese casserole, or serve as an aperitif.
