Typical for the Pinot gris is its quince and honey tone, which becomes more and more intense as it matures in the bottle. Thanks to regularly high Öchsle degrees, this white wine speciality has a very fruity and soft body with a rich melting point. Well storable and thanks to the absence of second fermentation, it is supported by a harmonious acid backbone.
Copper coloured variety of the Burgundy family. The Pinot gris ripens in the same period as its dark blue relative and is the first to be seen when the grapes ripen.
Starters, e.g. terrines and pâtés, asparagus and other vegetable dishes, freshwater fish, white meat, cheese.
