Wannenberg Chardonnay Würenlingen 2019

The aromas of the young Chardonnay are fine notes of fruit and sweetness, light banana, toast and vanilla, without suppressing the typical Chardonnay nuances such as grapefruit or butter. On the palate it is dense, harmonious - fresh and persistent.

Variety
Closely related to the Pinot, it has its best growing conditions on somewhat earlier but not too hot sites, so as not to lose its freshness. The Chardonnay owes its reputation as one of the great, classic white wines to its discreet aroma and fantastic complexity, which is created especially during the ageing on the yeast in barriques.
Our Chardonnay is already placed in barriques during the decaying fermentation, 20% of which are new wood. Weekly "batonnage" yields this creaminess.
