Type: Ticino DOC Bianco di Merlot

Varietal composition: Merlot

Vinification: The first-run white must is obtained from red Merlot grapes by crushing and partial destemming and a very gentle subsequent pressing, and then fermented in stainless-steel tanks at a temperature of 18 - 20° C. In order to preserve its crisp varietal character the Contrada is not allowed to undergo malolactic fermentation.

Color: Straw tinted yellow.

Bouquet: Delicate, harmonious and complex. Fruity and floral tones.

Palate: Fruity and smooth,  elegant, mineral and long at the finish.

Dining choices: A superb accompaniment to antipasti, light first courses and seafood dishes, the Contrada will serve equally well as an aperitif.

Serving temperature: 8 - 10° C

Aging: The Contrada 2020 will reach its full expressive potential beginning in spring 2021 and will maintain its character through 2024 and beyond if properly cellared.
