In the heart of the municipality of Mont-sur-Rolle, Domaine de Autecour makes a lively and opulent Premier Grand Cru. A defining feature of the wine is that it undergoes lees aging in the winery’s large oak barrels, which gives it notes of Mirabelle plums and roasted hazelnuts.
Tasting notes
Appearance: Deep yellow with shimmering silver
Nose: Full-bodied and fruity with aromas of peach, plum and Mirabelle plum. Mineral notes beautifully round off the aromas.
Palate: This wine makes a lively first impression on the palate, followed by a nice roundness and a soft, smooth finish.
Food pairings
Fish terrines, white fish fillets, crayfish, pike-perch fillets in white wine sauce, roast turkey, Provencal-style chicken breast, asparagus risotto.
Wine-growing region
In the heart of the vineyard, flanked by hills, Domaine de Autecour towers above the municipality of Mont-sur-Rolle and stretches over 13 hectares along Lake Geneva. The winery cultivates the vines in an environmentally friendly manner according to the guidelines of integrated production. The high plant density forces the roots to draw their nutrients from deep in the ground (moraine and weathered molasse soils), which give the wine its remarkable complexity and character.
Wine preparation
Traditional winemaking method at a controlled fermentation temperature, lees aging in large oak barrels, with a second fermentation.
