The Dôle is one of the most famous Valais wines. However, contrary to popular belief, this typical cru from the old country is not a single varietal, but a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay. Pinot Noir lends the wine a subtle elegance and power while Gamay gives it freshness and fruity aromas. The result is a wonderfully balanced wine with fine, melted tannins.
