Soil
The Obrist winery has owned this exceptional vineyard since 1896. On the southern slope of the Vevey hills and with a view of Lake Geneva, the grapes are ideally situated in the heart of the region the Chardonne grape comes from. The vineyard is subject to regular checks by Vevey’s ‘Confrérie des Vignerons,’ a winegrowers’ association that has awarded many prizes and distinctions to the vintners of this preferred soil, a soil that is comprised of gravel and calcareous moraine.
Winemaking method
Traditional method, fermentation in stainless steel tanks and large oak barrels.
