Soil:
Located east of Lausanne, between Lausanne and the Rhône Valley, Lavaux’s scenic vineyards offer stunning panoramic views. The terraced vineyards are planted in rows along the sloping hillsides (to minimize erosion), creating a very harmonious relief. The region’s moraine soil dates back to the last ice age and is made up of clay, limestone, and porous, mineral-rich alluvial soil, which facilitates the process of supplying water to the plants in a natural way.

Handpicked harvest, traditional method in stainless steel tanks, fermentation in large oak barrels
